Alfie is an absolutely beautiful cocker spaniel and I completely fell in love with his gorgeous face during his dog photoshoot a couple of weeks ago. He is two years old and is a very fashionable boy with his own selection of bow ties and bandanas!

I absolutely love the vintage feel of the above photo, which is my favourite shot from the entire dog portrait session. I set up the suitcases on my backdrop and Alfie was very happy to pose and sat beautifully while wearing the hat  - something he hadn't worn before! 

Not every dog will be happy to sit and pose in this type of styled shot - and my focus is always the happiness of the dog during the photo shoot. Alfie was very relaxed throughout the session which meant that his owner, Emma, and I were able to try some different shots as well as more traditional portraits. This was really helped by being at home and in familiar surroundings.
