Kongs are absolutely amazing for keeping your dog entertained.

You can give your dog a Kong to keep them occupied, for example on Christmas Day while everyone is opening their presents, as a stress reliever or just something to enjoy. They're great for providing enrichment, as your dog has to use their problem-solving skills to get the food out of the Kong.

But the question is: what do you fill your Kong with?

Firstly, it's important to remember that this doesn't have to be "extra" food. You can use your dog's daily food allowance in creative ways to make meal-times more interesting, as well as slowing down the speed they eat their food - which can reduce the risk of things like bloat.

So first of all - what is your dog's usual food?

If you're raw-feeding your dog or using wet food, these are both pretty easy to stuff inside a Kong for your dog to enjoy. You can also use Kibble, although you'll need to either soak it in water or add something like dog-friendly peanut butter or yoghurt to make it stick together.

But what if you want to give your dog a treat? Here are five ideas for Kong fillings to try at home - just mix the ingredients together and stuff your Kong!
