Although we're now beginning to come out of lockdown, it still means the crop is very sparse for new images to enter into the Image of the Month competition, so April's entries were again from a couple of new location casting calls I ran back in September and October 2020.

As I've said before, casting calls are designed to test things - so I'm not thinking about competition images at all when I'm shooting. It's all about trying out new locations and ideas. That said, I'm thrilled that these images were given three Bronze awards!

The gorgeous Aston Martini was a superb model when we met down at the canal in Market Harborough back in September 2020! The leaves were just beginning to turn so we got some gorgeous colours in the background, and the reflections in the canal just added to the ambience of this shot.

The other two shots were also taken in October 2020 and feature the gorgeous Willow. As a typical Collie-cross, he has a very intense look and I was thrilled to capture him looking so alert. Again the autumn colours compliment him really well and create a wonderful backdrop at our excellent woodland location!

It's great to be keeping consistent with the Bronze Awards through these last few months which have been challenging for competition. Now there's light at the end of the tunnel, let's hope it's onwards and upwards!
