A few months ago I was commissioned to photograph a brand new secure dog walking field in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire called The Potterings

The aim of our shoot was to capture a range of marketing images to help them promote the field, for use on flyers and social media.

One of the ways The Potterings differs from many other secure dog walking fields is the variety of activities that are available, which have been designed with doggy enrichment in mind.

There's jumps for those dogs who love agility and a range of obstacles for parkour, as well as a proper sandpit for all those doggy diggers. Each activity comes with an instruction board on how it should be used, as well as indicating the difficulty level and who it is appropriate for.

But The Potterings is not all about energetic activities. There's a sensory garden with dog-friendly plants and herbs where our four-legged friends can wander freely, and several of the parkour activities also have holes drilled in to them which are ideal for hiding pieces of Kong so that your dog can practice their scentwork (indicated with a UK Sniffer Dogs symbol on the instruction board).

One of the key aims of the photo shoot for the Potterings was to capture dogs having fun off-lead and enjoying the activities, as many people who use secure dog fields are those who are unable to let their dogs off-lead in the 'real' world. We had a variety of doggy helpers to assist us in testing out the equipment on the day and a fun time was had by all!
