So it's been a couple of months since I posted about the Guild of Photographers' Image of the Month Competition. I entered three images in May which were all awarded Classified - a bit of a disappointment as they were images I absolutely loved. Then, life was just too crazy in June and I decided not to enter - my first month off in the last four years of competition!!

But after the break I felt ready to go again and decided to enter three images from a photo shoot session with the lovely Howard and Victor. I was thrilled to say that each of these images was awarded Bronze!

The photo shoot for these gorgeous boys took place in their home just after the lockdown restrictions began to be lifted, with precautions being taken to keep everything as safe as possible. They were absolute superstars and soon got the idea of how to model - and this shot of them together is one of my favourites from the session.

The second shot which was awarded Bronze is a seated shot of Victor.

This was a specific request from Howard and Victor's humans, as they wanted a seated portrait of each dog to display side by side as wall art in their home. Both dogs posed beautifully, and we were able to achieve their aims!

The third shot which was awarded Bronze is a profile headshot of Victor, which is something I'm experimenting with right now. It's nice to try and get a different angle, and works particularly well if dogs aren't overly keen at looking directly at the camera!

All in all another pleasing month's entries for the Image of the Month competition and hopefully back on track to get the Photographers Bar again this year!
