This is Jess, the black labrador retriever, who I photographed during her dog portrait photography session in August. Jess is a lovely girl who loved being in front of the camera, and like most labradors she was very friendly and covered me in licks!!

The tilted head shot is one of my favourites, and was taken towards the beginning of the session, where I managed to get her attention - and this reaction - by making an unusual noise she hadn't heard before.

Although this looks like a studio, this photograph was actually taken in Jess's home. I prefer to run my dog photography sessions either in your home or at a location familiar to your dog, so that he/she is relaxed and happy. My backdrop and lighting system is fully portable and can work in a variety of spaces. This worked really well for Jess's session, where I set up in the lounge so we had plenty of space for doggy portraits!
